The Merchant

The old keeper laced his hands together. "They say every lighthouse keeper receives one last visitor to hear his story before he is done."

The sailor laughed. "Oh, you think I am here to listen to your story?"

The old keeper narrowed his eyes. "Yes."

"Well, it seems I have to stay here for a while. It looks like a storm is on its way." He pointed out of the window to the grey-clouded sky. "So go on, tell it to me."

"My story isn't mine," the old keeper said. "It isn't about me."

"Not about you?" The sailor laughed again. "What is it about then? I hope it is not about another sea monster."

The old keeper leaned forward. "No, not a sea monster. A sea master."
